Project

Our client approached us to design a single storey rear extension to increase the size of the existing kitchen diner. The size of the extension was carefully planned so as not to compromise the size of the rear garden and to minimise disruption to the existing structure of the house. We suggested an extension measuring 6m from the existing rear wall and 4.2m wide. This enabled the extension to end before the kitchen window opening. A dual pitched roof was designed in keeping with the existing main roof and the roof lights gave added light to the extension. Bi-fold doors leading to he garden maximised natural daylight and gave the client’s home a contemporary feel.
